Ingolf Watzlaw studied architecture in Dresden, Lissabon und St. Louis / Mo, and stage design in Berlin.
Between 2003 and 2008 he was research fellow at the department of architecture at BTU Cottbus.
2009 together with choreographer Claudia Garbe and composer Daniel Vezza he founded the artist group → possible.movement, where they explore the intermedial relation between drawing, sound and movement.
 
In his work he deals with the relation between incident, object and viewer, with the genesis, development and perception of shape and with the relation between imagination and reality.
Darwing ist the key medium in his work. For him drawing is a medium of thinking as well as a medium of perception.
